Prof. Avraamidou received an NSF CAREER Award
Congratulations to Prof. Styliani Avraamidou on receiving a National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award! She will apply process systems engineering to develop tools that help farmers, food processors, and distributors work around unexpected disruptions in the perishable supply chain. Using the Wisconsin dairy industry as the primary case study, and collaborating with the University of Wisconsin–Extension Dairy Program, the project aims to redesign perishable product supply chains to be more resilient to different types of disruptions, with a planned dairy resilience hub to help industry stakeholders collaborate and plan.
